Perfect Fit Tailoring opened its doors in 2003. We are a husband and wife team with occasional part-time help during extra busy times. We love what we do and that is to make people feel great in their clothes that they just purchased and doesn't fit right or if they are just refurbishing some favourite articles that they have had for awhile and maybe doesn't fit perfect anymore.

That's where we come in - we will make it a "perfect fit"!!

As a team, we bring forth diverse backgrounds that has helped with all aspects in running our business. Pat grew up in a family with deep roots in tailoring and always worked after school and summer breaks at a tailor shop and was exposed to everything involved in the industry. Once out of high school, he moved on to the construction trade and worked for several years at roofing and cement finishing. During this time though he always had a small sewing machine at home and did alterations and repairs for friends and acquaintances. Stephanie gave him the confidence and push to open their own business and knew immediately that it was the right time and place. In the beginning, not knowing how busy it was going to be, Pat worked in the shop and Stephanie kept her career in the financial industry and dropped into the shop on lunch breaks and after work to help out where needed as well as looking after the books for the business. After a year of being open, they knew that it was too much for one person to keep up with on their own so Stephanie gave up her job and that's when their partnership in the tailor shop began 16 years ago and is still going strong today. Some people might wonder how it works being married and working side by side everyday but really all it takes is respect for one another and knowing that you are reaching for the same goals.

We love having our business in Mount Pearl!! We have many loyal clients that we have seen for the past 17 years and always welcome the new faces that come in everyday. Mostly we love to see the smile and look of satisfaction when our clients return and try on their "perfect fit" clothes and know that we will see them and their family and friends for years to come.
